Mac OS X - Installation
This chapter shows you step-by-step instructions for installing Fresh Reader on Mac OS X.
Download the FreshReader Mac OS X archive
http://www.freshreader.com/ver2/en/download.phtml
Put the archive onto the server via FTP or something
Assuming you've put the archive on /tmp/sffr20osxppc_en.tar.gz .
Choose installation location
Assuming you've decided to install it in /Library/WebServer/Documents/freshreader .
Extract the archive
% cd /Library/WebServer/Documents % tar xvfz /tmp/sffr20osxppc_en.tar.gz
Configure db directory owner/group appropriate
As default, the owner/group of the web server is apache/apache, so you should type then,
% chown -R apache:apache freshreader/db
Acceess to the Fresh Reader
Try to access the server.
http://(the server name or IP address)/freshreader/index.html
Type your company/group name and Click 'Start Fresh Reader'.
Congraturations! Now you will enjoy your own Fresh Reader!
