With XAMPP Lite

This chapter will show you how to use Fresh Reader with XAMPP Lite.

  1. Get XAMPP Lite archive,
    2. apache friends - xampp for windows
    Download 7-zip format.
  2. Get Fresh Reader archive,
    3. Download - Fresh Reader
  3. unfreeze XAMPP Lite to C:\
  4. unfreeze Fresh Reader to C:\xampplite\htdocs\freshreader
  5. Edit php.ini
    6. Double-click C:\xampplite\apache\bin\php.ini and add the following line, 
    zend_extension_ts = 
    C:\xampplite\htdocs\freshreader\ioncube\ioncube_loader_win_5.2.dll
  6. Start XAMPP Lite
    7. Double-click C:\xampplite\xampp-control.exe, and 'Start' Apache
  7. Go to Fresh Reader
    8. http://localhost/freshreader/

* XAMPP is basically for developers, so security settings are open. You should configure XAMPP appropriately to adapt it to your environment.
